The LIPS online course "Hands-on learning!" will help improve your skills and competences for the successful completion of an internship abroad. During the linguistic and intercultural training course you will deal with eleven different modules which focus on key communicative situations. Situations like "The First day on the Job", "Finding out Rules and Conventions" or "Dealing with Difficulties", situations which almost every intern comes up against.

The online course is a moderated course. Most of the tasks involve groupwork using our virtual classroom, which is equipped with various communication tools, e.g. forums. wikis and a chatroom.

Each module has a short intro clip which describes the structure and the tasks of the current week. From the beginning of each module all tasks are visible so that the participants can choose to do their workload anytime that suits them before the deadline. (Left click on the picture to enlarge it. The online course, the main element for the preparation, is supplemented by a guideline and by the intercultural Podcast and Blog www.absolutely-intercultural.com which enables mobile learning, learning breaking away from the computer by listening to enjoyable intercultural issues.
